"Liberty took care of everything for me. ... I recall seeing bills that were repriced from thousands of dollars to hundreds of dollars. ... Within a couple of weeks I was 100% back to health."

How we keep costs so low - More Details

There are several reasons that we are able to keep costs low by medical cost sharing. It starts with a membership that is committed to health and good living. The program is structured to help members be responsible and make cost effective choices in health care. The costs are examined up front. Members share only the actual costs and the administrative costs are kept to a minimum.

Our group only accepts new members that hold similar Christian beliefs. We believe our bodies and rights are gifts from God. We consider our bodies to be temples and are committed to healthy living. We don't smoke and don't abuse alcohol or drugs.

Our programs are structured so that the members take the initial responsibility for their care. Every member must meet an annual unshared amount prior to being eligible for shared expenses. By requiring members to pay the first expenses out of pocket, members are more conscious of costs and make better choices. By putting the patients in charge and making them responsible we've created a situation where as a group we have incentive to examine the costs up front. We eliminate unnecessary procedures. We have a team of professionals to help you make decisions and negotiate with providers.

Once bills are incurred, our members then only share in the actual costs. Sharing amounts are based on actual costs and not future projections. Because we emphasize such spiritual principals as frugality, concern for other members, wellness, health and prevention, we tend to have fewer medical incidents and more rapid recoveries, not to mention better quality of life.

Our group is not-for-profit. Other than administrative costs, as defined in the sharing guidelines, all sharing amounts belong to the members to be shared with other members. This is quite unique in the health care industry.

Consider joining us if you would like a faith-based way to plan for unforeseen medical costs and if you have similar ideals as you consider how best address your health care.
